One-third of ACS patients in Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries have dyslipidemia, according to local registries. Dyslipidemia is commonly observed in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Particularly, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) is an established risk associated with the development of atherosclerosis.
